Tracy Letzerich, Director of Strategy and Transformation at Pathway Vet Alliance
Tracy Letzerich, what do you do for work and how do you spend your time?
As part of Austin’s top 50 fastest growing companies, I am honored to work every day with the best DVMs and hospital staff in the country. We are change agents for good, transforming the veterinary industry for the better. A key part of my role includes leading transformational change for Pathway that builds infrastructure and supports scalable growth. My team helps implements initiatives that provide systems, processes, and leadership development to help our hospitals meet their goals and better serve our pets and pet parents.
Describe your personal style:
People who know me well describe my style as “edgy feminine.” I prefer flare to florals, and ripped jeans to lace. I love a sleek stiletto, beautiful silk blouse, and am rarely seen without a bright bold lip.
Do you have a favorite RB piece or outfit that stands out or is you feel good go to?
My RB go-to pieces are hands-down my Smithe jackets. They elevate any look with a professional feminine shape, whether it’s jeans and tennis shoes or a tailored dress.
Why do you shop at RedBird Boutique?
Why DON’T I shop at RedBird Boutique?!? First and foremost, the individualized customer service is impossible to match anywhere else. Over the last 5+ years, every shopping experience I’ve had at RB is personal and fun. Everyone at Redbird, from the owner to the temp seasonal worker, invests time in getting to know me. They understand what looks good on my body type, help evolve my style, and keep track of what I need in my closet. From weekend casual, to date night, to gala, to executive presentation, they’ve got me covered. I don’t need to go anywhere else.
What is something people would be surprised to know about you?
Most people are surprised to learn I majored in Statistics at Carnegie Mellon University and was captain of the women’s basketball team.
Do you have a winning party trick?
I can make a freethrow with my eyes closed! (basketball)
What is your daily mantra?
Be authentic in everything you do.
What is your biggest pet peeve?
I’d say it’s a tie between educated people who misuse “your” and “you’re” and people who say, “Good for you!”
Who has been your greatest mentor in business? In life?
My mom. She is the strongest woman I know. The first in her family to attend college, she overcame a tragic childhood and forged her own path. She never made excuses due to her circumstances. She recently retired as the CFO of a global publishing company, plays tennis and golf every day, and still does my taxes!
What is the best advice you’ve been given?
Consider where your God-given talents, your passions, and the needs of the world collide. There lies your vocation.
Most exciting or dangerous thing you have ever done?
Last summer I survived a close encounter with a bull shark off the coast of Florida while on my paddleboard with my 13-year-old. I’ve never remained so calm and moved so fast in my life!
How would you like to be remembered?
First, for loving my family and friends with my whole heart. Second, for helping others realize their potential and becoming the best version of themselves.
If you could receive any award, what would it be for?
Parenting teenagers and living to tell about it!
